Collaborative Practice Trainers scheduleCollaborative Practice Trainers has developed a comprehensive training schedule for calendar year 2009 which we're sure you'll find of interest for yourself and your fellow practitioners. Our Mastery of Collaborative Practice events are held in Oakland at the Cal State University East Bay Conference Center which is easily accessible by Bart and other public transportation and also has easy parking.
With this series of classes, our goals are to:
- to provide in depth teaching in a broad range of topics to collaborative professionals,
to tailor each curriculum to be of value to learners with a broad range of training and/or case experience,
- to time the programs throughout the year so that learners can work with what they have learned between one class and the next,
- to support ongoing efforts to assure practice excellence among every practice group member, and
- to make a concentrated effort to bring our civil, commercial, and estates/trusts colleagues into the collaborative fold, or, at a minimum, to provide them with the teaching and experience of collaboration so that they can accurately present the process to potential clients.
A brief overview of the schedule is shown below. The classes are "stand alone" and are suitable for any collaborative professional who has had at least a two-day introductory interdisciplinary training. The two-day class on June 19th and 20th is focused on non-family law matters. We know there is a lot of interest in bringing collaborative practice to the civil, commercial, and estate planning fields so if you know of a solo practitioner or professionals in a small firm who may be interested, please share this opportunity with them. Registration forms and additional information about all of the classes can be found on our website, www.collaborativepracticetrainers.org
